Yoga as a Practice Tool in the Clinic, Classroom, and other Settings

When: Saturday, April 29, 2023 | 1:00pm - 5:00pm MT

Where: Colorado University - Anschutz Medical Campus

Sponsored by the APTA Colorado Pediatric SIG

Pediatric physical therapists play a critical role in promoting children’s health and wellness. There is growing evidence that supports the use of yoga for health promotion in pediatric populations. This session will include a review current research, discuss evidence-based strategies for integrating yoga into a variety of settings, and explore adaptations to meet individual needs. This will be an interactive session where we will practice several yoga postures, breathing techniques, and mindfulness activities throughout the presentation. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one! There will be some mats on hand for those who need to borrow one.

CEUs: This event will offer FOUR credit hours
