PSIG Event - March 1: Introduction to Pediatric Vestibular Rehabilitation

When: Thursday, March 1 from 6:45 - 8:15 pm

Where: University of Colorado Health Sciences Library, Anschutz Medical Campus. HSL Reading Room (located at the top of the stairs on the 3rd Floor). Parking for visitors is located at any parking lot signed "Patient and Visitor Parking" and at parking meters. See the attached map for lot locations.

Description: This presentation will qualify for one Category I credit and will provide information regarding pediatric vestibular disorders and diagnoses, physiology of the vestibular system and its development and clinical examination. There will be a brief discussion of treatment strategies with evidence supporting vestibular rehabilitation, as well as referral criteria for children presenting with vestibular dysfunction.

Speaker: Margot Gray PT, DPT is a pediatric physical therapist at Children's Hospital Colorado. She graduated from Regis University with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2013. Margot is a part of the Balance Disorders Clinic at Children's where she is a member of a multidisciplinary team consistent of an ENT physician, a Neurologist and Audiologists working to diagnose and treat children with vestibular disorders. She also sees children with vestibular dysfunction in the outpatient setting, participates in research as part of the Balance Disorders Clinic and provides vestibular training to her colleagues at CHCO and to the Colorado healthcare community.

Cost: Secondary to this qualifying as a Category I Credit, APTA Members will be charged $10.00 and Non-members: $20.00 fee to attend event.

There is call in information available if you are unable to attend the meeting in person. Please register online prior to meeting. Once you register you will be emailed the call in information.
